All this warm weather and promise of a tropical vacation has put me in the mood to SHOP! If I didn't spend everything on food and bills, this ensemble would totally be in my closet by now. Even as an obvious not-svelte person, I really enjoy looking at and buying swimwear. Just mix and match different pieces that fit and the number one, important thing is to not care. Unless someone is a total jagweed and goes out of their way to tell you that you look bad, it's almost a guarantee  that no one is going to say anything to you about your swimwear choice. 

It's also toenail polish color explosion with lots of neon and brights in summer nail collections. Not to mention lots of new sunscreen formulas and new products. Bah, I'm o excited!! I love the warm weather. I started Insanity (it's awesome); if you like HIIT workouts then Insanity is for you. I get bored and find myself really liking interval workouts to keep me entertained. I'm slapping on my vitamin C serum and pumicing my crusty feet (sorry). Get ready for the sun, baby!

The Jungle Look

It's (sort of) getting warmer outside which can mean only one thing, BRING ON THE CRAZY PRINTS! Nothing ushers in the season like a print so crazy it can give a child a seizure if you walk past them too quickly. One of this spring/summer's biggest trends is tropical and jungle prints! They're on everything from t-shirts, skirts, shorts, bags; you name it, it's plastered all over everything. H&M's new Conscious Collection, featuring tons of cool sustainably-made clothing, has lots of crazy jungle prints. I'm planning on looking like some 70s beach hotel lobby-mural this spring in some tropical-printed dresses. Pair with black or chartreuse tights when it's still more winter than spring, then strip down and fake-tan up for when it finally warms up!

The Christmas tree has been taken down, it's cold, it's rainy, and I'm sick of hot coffee and want an iced one SO BAD. I'm hitting the SAD hard right now and all I've been doing is daydreaming about being back on the beach. These super cute bags from Samudra have been keeping me from running into traffic with their beautiful sunsets and palm trees. These are bug enough to hold an iPad and your usual purse essentials. I usually hate clutches because they just scream "I'm going to leave this somewhere" and never see it again, but I can't help but love these little bags. Maybe if I had a bag that helped cure my depression I'd be less apt to leave it in a Taco Bell. So if you feel like your happiness is being sucked out of you every time to leave to go to work in the dark only to drive back home in the dark, then maybe a cute beachy clutch is what you need to stay sane until summer.
