Ultimate Gift: The Lash Stash

If the oppourtunity ever rolls around to purchase the Sephora Last Stash gift box again, I would seize the moment and buy like five of them. I got this as a gift this Christmas and I won't have to buy mascara for years.

There are all the best selling mascaras in this little rose-gold box. I have been trying a new one out each day and I will probably do a post on how each one fared in my experiment.

There are two full size mascaras: Sephora's Outrageous Volume and Tarte's Light Camera Flashes. There's also a set of Sephora false eyelashes which are a fun edition for when you're feeling fancy!

I'm so grateful for this awesome gift. It really takes the guess-work out of having to pick another mascara that could just turn out to be an expensive mistake. I'm going to have a lot of fun playing around with these!

Hope you all who celebrate Christmas had a great holiday and will party down into the new year. Happy New Year's Eve!!

Cold Weather Gifts for Warm Weather People

Beachy Gifts

Beachy Gifts by elbonner featuring purple gloves

My second installment of my holiday gift series is one that is close to my heart. At Christmas time, all I want is to be back at the beach reeking of sunscreen and caked in sand. Because I am not able to do that in my neck of the woods, I can still live the beach life if I put in the effort at home. If you have a friend who is not a winter person, there are many ways you can soothe the sting of winter's cold with these awesome, beach-inspired gifts!

L-R

1. Flash Tattoos "Goldfish Kiss" Edition: these metallic temporary tattos are so firggin'cool. The only thing that makes them cooler is the fact they got a whole collection to be designed by one of my favorite blogger, Rebekah Steen, of Goldfish Kiss. Her beachy creations 1.)make me want more ink and 2.) remind me that summer will be here eventually! Be wild and wear these to a holiday party and be as sparkly as a Christmas tree! (Photo: Flash Tattoos/Rebekah Steen)

2. Kai Fragrance Travel Kit: This stuff smells like a tropical paradise in a bottle. Kai is all about the gardenia and it transports me back to the North Shore of Oahu every time I smell it. Gardenia is a soft enough floral to wear during the day, but I think it's just as nice on a night out. Everyone will be yearning for summer and creepily sniffing you all night long!

3. Verloop Rothko Texting Gloves: To ease the heavy hand of winter, how are you supposed to look back at your summer Instagram photos when your fingers are inhibited by stupid gloves?! These are the answer. Smartphone gloves allow you to scroll through those lazy summer photos without forcing you to feel the cold and hate everything again. These ones from Urban Outfitters are a fun color, too!

4. Malie Plumeria Home and Linen Spray: Want your house to smell like a tropical paradise instead of a Christmas Tree? We're not all holiday scent lovers, and this spray can make your home a little more summer-fiend friendly. Malie carries all sorts of tropical scents, but the plumeria is my numba one faveorite.

5. RockaBella Jewels Shark Tooth Necklace: You can always lie and tell people you wrestled this out of a sharks mouth yourself, it will greatly impress the recipient. This necklace is pretty whilst also being badass. Always a good combo!

6. J. Crew Metallic Triangles Sweatshirt: A cute sweatshirt can easily be incorporated into your spring attire, and this sweatshirt fits the bill. The metallic gold makes it festive for winter, but the funky print makes it great to pair with some mint cut-off in the spring time!

7. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment and Sugar Lychee Fragrance: Keep winter dryness from ruining your lips this summer. Keep a fancy shmancy, spf lip balm with you at all times. It makes a great stocking stuffer or secret Santa present. Smell like the freshness of summer with a citrus-based perfume too. This one is sweet, but has a little more depth than their lemon version which makes it better for cold weather. It's still fresh and fruity enough for summer wear!

I hope these gift ideas will help alleviate the sadness that us warm-weather people feel when winter comes and ruins our lives. Christmas is a great time to perk those up in need of a summer fix!

Spring Lip Color Extravaganza!

WARNING: This post contains a lot of photos of me making stupid faces in my bathroom. If you are offended by my face, then please steer clear of this post! I am getting more and more into lip colors the older I get/the less I care. I've recently gotten into the oranges/tangerines/corals that have become so popular as-of-late and I've bought a whole bunch in all sorts of different finishes. This post took lots of tissues and resulted in some seriously dry lips, so a new post for you and a extreme lip conditioner treatment for me!

Clinique Almost Lipstick: Black Honey. My new favorite. It's so natural, "black honey" really is the only combination of nouns and adjectives suitable to describe it.

Clinique Chubby Stick in Oversized Orange. Love that this is like a crayon you can just draw on your face with. Very sheer, but great for a touch of color.

NYX Butter Gloss in Cherry Cheese Cake: Sheer-ish coral that is super moisturizing. A bit sticky, but worth it. Crossed-eyes not included!

Sephora Pantone Collection in Tangerine Tango: BRIGHT tangerine orange color. Great for a fun night out or just reminding people that you like color.

MAC Lipstick in Saint Germain: This is a hard color to pull off, but it's so much fun when you so. A strawberry milk pink that is great for hipster dance parties or hanging in at that place in Tokyo where all the girls dress like creepy dolls! (nail color: Fiji by Essie)

MAC Lipstick in Vegas Volt: More of an orange-hot pink hybrid, this neon coral color is awesome. If I had more appropriate places to wear it I'd be through a million of these by now.

MAC Lipstick in Morange: A more matte version of the Sephora Pantone lipgloss, this is a really fun color that works with every skin tone.

Ellis Faas Creamy Lips in L102: Hellooo extra from The Craft! This color is the BUSINESS. Ugh, I love it so much, but I feel like I would be seen a vampire slut if I wore it during the day. A deep plum wine color that is super hot and the applicator is shaped like a giant bullet. That should be enough to sell you!

Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipstick in Fierce: My lips have a weird way of making every red lip stick I've ever tried turn pink. That is why I always stick to oranges. This is the first true red to stay red on my lips ever! It stays on well, maybe not 12 hours well, but I really like it.

Well I hope staring at my face for a prolonged period of time didn't scare you off forever. How am I supposed to share my love of lip color with you without smearing it on my face and making you look at it?! Well, I hope you all have a good weekend and put some color on your face!
